1. Which 5 tunes would you say are 'so hot right now' and why?
- Stanton Warriors “Get Wild” – anything the Stantons touch turns to gold, and this is no exception, easily one of my fave dance tracks of 08.
- Skool of Thought & Ed Solo “We Play the Music” – I challenge you not to get your jiggle on to this punchy dancehall tune.
- Diplo “Must Be A Devil” – a simple, funky and fun Baltimore track from one of my fave DJs.
- MIA “Paperplanes” (DFA Remix) – the original was cool, DFA’s version just pushes the groove along that little bit more.
- Cymande “Brothers on the Slide” – OK so I’m 30 years late on this one, nonetheless funk classics like this will always be ‘so hot right now’.
2. Which music genre do you prefer to play?
Anything breakbeat; funk, big-beat, party hip-hop, breaks…
3. Do you make and play your own mixes?
No, I’m musically retarded. I do make a mean pad thai though.
4. What can I expect from a DJ Ego set?
Expect good tunes and good vibes. Expect to hear music you know and dig... but also some other stuff you mightn't know but are just as likely to get down to. Expect to have fun.

See live music – Byron Bay has got some sweet-as venues dishing up some killer line-ups, from the world class talent stopping through the Northern to the awesome homegrown acts jumping up at the Beachie and the Rails, Byron's live music scene is massive!
